NDC MPs to face court today

Some members of parliament of the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are expected to appear in court today Monday January 4 for marching to the head office of the Electoral Commission (EC) without notifying the Police.

This comes after the State sued the Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, and 10 of his colleagues for allegedly refusing to notify the police before the march.

The suit accused them of marching without notifying the Police, describing it as an unlawful Assembly.

In a summons issued by the circuit court, the accused persons have been directed to appear before the court today, Monday.

The MPs include Haruna Iddrisu,Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, Samuel George, John Abdulai Jinapor, Rockson Nelson Etse Kwami Defiamekpor, Ras Mubarak, Mutawakilu Adam, Ebenezer Okletey Yerlabi, Dr Kwabena Donkor, Bashir Alhassan Fuseini and Kwabena Mintah Akando.
