Ghanaian Gospel Diva, Empress Gifty Adorye has called on the Nana Addo led administration to lockdown the country for the next two weeks to aid combat the deadly virus.
According to Empress Gifty Adorye, speaking as a citizen, she feels it is necessary for the government to declare a lockdown immediately.
Gifty in a post sighted by Gossips24.com said she was making this appeal to the president as a citizen who does not want the virus to cause mass destruction before she acts. She added that if the bold step – a lockdown – is taken by the president it will serve as a preventive measure to curb the situation.
She wrote; “During this crucial moment I urge my president of the republic of Ghana His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo @nakufoaddo to lock down the country for 2 weeks as is the primary preventive measure to curb the Corona virus. As a citizen I appeal to my president to take that decision and that bold step to help stop the spread of covid 19. #MAYGODHEALOURLAND“
This comes after Government announced the confirmation of three more cases and another death making it two deaths in all since the virus was confirmed in Ghana.
