Not long ago, veteran rapper, Okyeame Kwame, in an interview, revealed that the new crop of rappers do better than those of their time and legendary Ghanaian highlife singer, Rex Omar, seems to be backing him as he has also revealed on Kastle FM that the new set of musicians are doing better than their time.
He said:
“Globalization has opened doors for people. People can make money if they approach it with a business mindset.
The majority of Ghanaian musicians spend their entire career on the rewards and money they would receive rather than on creating outstanding songs. Artistes are to make professional investments. Additionally, it requires a lot of finance, so you can’t just start off and rely on fantastic music.
It no longer functions. If you have the necessary resources, a solid marketing strategy, a solid marketing plan, and everything else, you can succeed. It is therefore better than previously, but it also requires more cash, and you must comprehend the business element.
