Undoubtedly one of Ghana’s leading radio station, Joy FM, has dropped the List Of Top 20 Ghanaian Hit Songs in 2019

The media firm has officially released its top 20 Ghanaian hit songs on social media and it has got some musicians talking already.

The year 2019 has been an interesting year for most artistes in Ghana as many bagged over two hit songs.

The list cites the likes of Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Medikal, Kinaata among other good musicians who produced hit songs.

Sitting comfortably at number 1 is Stonebwoy with his 2018 Christmas jam “Kpookeke”.

1. Stonebwoy – Kpo Keke

Stonebwoy wrapped up the year 2018 with a banger dubbed Kpo K3k3. He featured the new kings – Kelvynboy, Medikal, Kwesi Arthur, and Darkovibes.

2. Shatta Wale – Melissa

Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale dropped this brand new midtempo jam tagged Melissa on July 4, 2019. This one was produced by himself and co-produced by Paq.

3. Sarkodie ft Efya – Saara

Sarkcess Music Boss Sarkodie blessed us again with the 3rd single off his “BlackLove Album” and he featured Efya on this tune titled “Saara”. This love jam was released on Sep 26, 2019.

4. Kofi Kinaata – Things Fall Apart

Award-winning Ghanaian rapper Kofi Kinaata served us with another potential hit song. He titles the new jam as THINGS FALL APART. The song was released on Oct 10, 2019.

5. Bless – Chocho Mucho

Bless resurfaced on Jan 28, 2019, with this high life banger he dubbed “Chocho Mucho“. He came out with a hit in 2009 titled Meda Enda under slip music.

6. Shatta Wale – Borjor

Dancehall musician Shatta Wale released another single on his Birthday dubbed “Borjor” (Download Mp3: Shatta Wale – Borjor).  This hit song from Shatta was released on Oct 17, 2019.

7. Diana Hamilton – Mo Ne Yo

Luckily enough, we have on Gospel song making it into the list and its from Diana Hamilton. Diana Antwi Hamilton, the UK based Ghanaian award-winning gospel singer, released her single ‘Mo Ne Yo‘ on August 8, 2019.

8. Medikal – Omo Ada

AMG Business artiste Medikal kicked off the year 2019 with this brand new jam tagged OmoAda which means Dem Sleep. The original song was released on Jan 11, 2019.

9. Kofi Mole – Don’t Be Late

Tagged as one of Ghana’s promising rappers, Kofi Mole dropped a new banger on Mar 15, 2019. He titles this Afro-pop love infused song “Don’t Be Late”.

10. Stonebwoy ft Beenie Man – Shuga

On Aril 23, 2019, Bhimnation president StoneBwoy finally releases his much-anticipated banger tagged SHUGA which featured legendary Beenie Man.

11. Quamina MP – Amanfuo Girls

Ground Up presents this brand new song from the “Wiase Y3 D3” hitmaker, Quamina Mp dubbed “Amanfuor Girls”. He featured AMG Business Award-winning rapper, Medikal on this one which was released on Feb 27, 2019.

12. DopeNation – Zanku

Zanku by DopeNation was released as the official first single after they were signed onto Lynx Entertainment. The song has since its release become a successful hit song, and it always has a way of moving people whenever it is played.

13. Sarkodie – Ofeetso

Sarkodie right after his free “This Is Tema” concert, released this brand new one with Prince Bright of Buk Bak fame dubbed ‘Ofeetso’. The song has gained the attention of Ghanaians who relate to the Sark-Shatta brawl.

14. Kwesi Arthur – Nobody

BET Nominee, Kwesi Arthur recruited Mr. Eazi on this love song dubbed ‘Nobody’. The song became popular and dominated the charts after its release on April 12, 2019.

15. Tulenkey – Proud F Boys

Tulenkey’s ‘Proud F Boys’ became a street anthem. The original song was released on December 5, 2018, but the remix version gave the song more life in June, and it found its place in the charts once again.

16. Kidi – Mr Badman

If there’s any song from Lynx Entertainment that has gained more airplay on the regular, its Kidi’s “Mr Badman”. Kidi kicked off 2019 with this massive banger tagged MR BADMAN and it featured Grind day hitmaker KWESI ARTHUR with production credit going to Mog Beatz.

17. Stonebwoy ft Teni – Ololo

A good year for Stonebwoy! On September 12, the BET award-winning Dancehall artiste teamed with Nigerian award-winning afrobeat songstress Teni to serve West Africa with Ololo.

18. Kuami Eugene – Ohemaa

Known for his dominance in the highlife genre released his first single for the year on June 18, 2019. He titled it OHEMAA featuring label mate KiDi.

19. J. Derobie – Poverty

After gaining an endorsement from Popcan, J. Derobie dropped his first single dubbed ‘Poverty’ to kick start the year as well as the eMpawa project. The song featured Mr. Eazi who sponsored the budding reggae-dancehall artiste’s first-ever official project.

20. Wendy Shay – Stevie Wonder

Queen of Rufftown Records, Wendy Shay teamed up with Shatta Wale to produce this hit jam “Stevie Wonder” which was featured on her Shay On You album. The song is among the biggest songs played at clubs and parties in Ghana. You will surely replay this classic tune when you hear it for the first time. No wonder its the only hiplife song from a female artiste which made it to the list.
