Lekki Toll Gate Shooting Massacre: You Can’t Rule Out The Possibility Of Hoodlums Setting In To Create A Scene- Abubakar Malami Alleges

Abubakar Malami, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice of Nigeria has allegedly stated that Lekki Toll Gate shooting massacre which transpired on October 20 may have been carried out by hoodlums who were wearing military gear and hired to create a scene.

In the wake of the unfortunate shooting incident at Lekki, there was a student uproar of injustice in many parts of Nigeria which amounted to the death of several protestors and the destruction of properties in Lagos.

The Nigerian Army had initially denied reports of its officers been at the scene of the shooting incident but later released a statement saying they were deployed to the toll gate following a request by the Lagos state government.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja on Monday, November 2, Abubakar Malami said an investigation is ongoing to ascertain what truly happened at the Lekki Toll Gate.

“You cannot rule out the possibility of perhaps hoodlums that set in to create a scene… could equally partake in the process,” the Cable quotes Malami as saying
