Kuami Eugene Exposed For Stealing ‘Wele, Sebe, Kontomire’ Line From Another Artiste – Court Case Looming

The VGMA 2020 Artiste of the Year, Kuami Eugene has been accused of stealing his current famous line ‘Wele, Sebe, Kontomire’ from his hit single Open Gate.

According to a Ghanaian hiplife artiste known as Raphael Essien aka Anamon, Kuami Eugene stole the line from him.

He made this claim during an interview on Rainbow Radio when he asserted that Eugene stole the lyrics from a 2012 song he released known as ‘Ashawo.’

Speaking bitterly about the whole line theft incident, Anamon revealed how disrespectful it was of Kuami Eugene indicating that the Rock Star should have called him to ask permission before using the lyrics.

“If he is respectful, he would have called and asked permission from me before using the words,” Anamon said.

“I spent several amounts of money on the song. I registered the words and the terms at the copyright office”.

Consequently, Anamon said he is going to take the issue to court unless Kuami Eugene’s management contacts him.

He is confident he has the evidence to bring down Kuami Eugene since he has registered the trademark to the lyrics.
