Kuami Eugene Denies Stealing Songs

Ghanaian highlife musician and songwriter Eugene Kwame Marfo, popularly known as Kuami Eugene has reacted to claims that he steals songs.

Kuami Eugene no doubt is one of the talented musicians of our time but whenever he releases a new song, he is bashed for stealing some lines and sometimes the whole song from the original artiste.

Speaking in an interview with Abeiku Santana on UTV’s Atuu show, the young talented highlife musician says he finds it very offensive when people accuse him of stealing songs.

According to him, he does not literally steal songs, he only gets inspired by great artists whose work people say he steals from and channel his music along the same tangent.

He narrated how Ice Prince strongly disagreed with public thoughts that he stole his WISH ME WELL song from the Nigerian rapper.

The artiste also bashed Ghanaians for the ridicule and mockery he was subjected to following his infamous coronation as the new Highlife King by Amakye Dede during 2019 VGMAs.
