Kotoko Grosses GH₵509,000 from Gate

The Porcupines Warrior-Kumasi Asante Kotoko really tested their might against the Kano Pillars of Nigeria and it was really a great match as Kotoko sought to overturn a 3-2 defeat they suffered in the hands of the Pillars earlier in Nigeria.

The return match was played at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium yesterday and with a third-minute goal from Michael Andoh put the Porcupines warriors in front.

The match ended with a 2-0 win for Kumasi Asante Kotoko making them to progress to the next stage stage of the CAF Champions League.

The stadium was almost full and according to Lawyer Sarfo Duku- a management member of the team, they grossed GH₵509,000 from the match debunking the report of the GH₵590,000 making rounds in the media and on the internet.

Kotoko is to play Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia on September 15 at Baba Yara Stadium and we wish them all the best.
