Kennedy Agyapong Calls For The Sacking Of The Director Of Urban Roads In The Ashanti Region

As we reported earlier this week, around thirty students from the Islamic Senior High School were brought to the hospital after police reportedly used tear gas and live bullets to disperse students who were protesting frequent vehicular knockdowns, and Kennedy Agyapong has finally shared his view on the matter.

The member of parliament for the Assin Central constituency, because he thinks he is the cause of the combotion that happened at the Islamic school in Kumasi some days ago.

According to the loudmouthed city politician who was speaking to Komla Kluste on TV3, he said all the commotion happened because the director was not paying attention to concerns raised by the headmaster of the Islamic Senior High School in Kumasi over poor roads.

In his own words, he said:

“For me, I don’t mince words, I tell you like it is, we have evidence that the school has written to the Ashanti Regional Urban Roads Director since 2010, the last one was September 2021 and nothing has been done, people are dying, people get injured, damage to their cars and all the letters paid no heeded. I think somebody should be fire from there.

“If I am a Minister today, I will fire the director of the urban road. If they had paid attention to what the headmaster said in the letters he has written so far this wouldn’t have happened, students getting injured, police getting injured.”
