CEO of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah’s wingman, Stanley Mensah Kodia, aka KOD, has allegedly been arrested for fraud in Ghana.
According to reports reaching Gossips24.com, the Ghanaian-born British soldier was arrested by the Property Fraud Unit of the Ghana Police Service on Wednesday.
KOD was picked up on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, in his Ghana residence by the police after an official complaint was lodged at the police desk by an Estate Developer over the conduct of the suspect.
Police say the suspect and Nii Okpoti Kodua, his father, in November 2015 sold about 20 plots of land to the complainant at Oyarifa Gravel Pit in the Greater Accra Region.
The real estate developer, who doubles as a business tycoon built a wall around the plots of land with the intention of developing them, however, he was left in shock when he visited the land only to realize they have been sold out to new owners despite paying fully for all 20 plots.
The report stated that a fence gate on the walled plots of land was also pulled down and several gates fixed and demarcated of which the secured lands were being developed by new owners.
An official complaint was therefore lodged with the police leading to the arrest of the suspect who is alleged to have played a key role in the entire transaction.
Police stated that KOD has been released on bail on Wednesday afternoon but is expected to report back as investigations on the matter continue.
