Just In: 43 contacts in Tema test negative for coronavirus

Tema Metropolitan Health Directorate has revealed that forty-three contacts traced in the Tema Metropolis in the contact tracing exercise by government, have tested negative to the novel coronavirus.

Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA), Dr Sally Quartey, Tema Metropolitan Director of Ghana Health Service, said 46 persons were named as contacts out of which 43 had been successfully traced, and tested negative, adding that the remaining three were 1 being traced.

Dr. Quartey showed that three people were tried constructive in Tema clarifying anyway that under the conventions if an individual tried constructive outside their area of living arrangement, they were checked under their locale and not the region that the example was gathered at.

In that light, she said out of the three, one didn’t have a place with the Tema Metropolis, hence the zone official had two positive cases out of which one had completely recuperated and one was reacting to treatment, noticing that Tema General Hospital which was one of the national treatment communities, was holding a few patients as needs are.
