Elections 2020: John Mahama condemns the beating of a soldier by National Security Operative

John Mahama has commented on the beating of WO1 Mashud Salia of the Ghana Armed Forces by operatives of the National security.

According to the former president, Nana Addo has messed up our security agencies because his appointees have been recruiting their families and friends who don’t qualify into the various security units.

Speaking at Damongo during his campaign tour in the Savannah Region former President Hohn Mahma said;

A Soldier Warrant Officer was beaten up by National Security operatives …when have you ever heard this in the history of the 4th Republic.

The flagbearer of the  (NDC) fruther added that;

National Security is a Coordinating agency..I’ve been President before..it is not an operational agency.

There is nobody called national security who goes round within AK47 or a pistol. They coordinate the security services and if somebody must be arrested, they call the police to arrest the person but national security don’t go and arrest the person.

Pressing on, he criticized Nana Addo by saying;

Nana Akufo-Addo has turned everything down and so a National Security officer can threaten a police officer and we saw the video in Kumasi where a police officer in uniform was sitting down somebody in civilian clothes was holding a pistol and threatening him.. and the sad thing is that there were soldiers and other police officers there and they were begging the person to calm down.
