John Dumelo constructs water pipes for Ayawaso residents (Photos)
Ghanaian actor turned politician John Dumelo has constructed water points for residents in his constituency who still buy water from vendors although government has announced the absorption of water bills.
Recently, the NDC parliamentary hopeful the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency stated that the free water for all Ghanaians will only benefit the middle and upper class because people who form the lower-income bracket in his neighbourhood still buy water.
According to the father of one, some landlords and vendors still sell water to residents despite government’s intervention to supply people with free water because of the impact the coronavirus is having on the economy.
In light of that, he, together with some residents in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency have constructed water points for those who do not have access to free water.
Sharing photos of the constructed water points on Twitter, he captioned alongside: This morning myself and the community guys started constructing water points in the neighborhood for residents( who still buy water) to have access to free water.
