J Derobie thanks Mr Eazi after winning his first career award

Sensational Afrobeats and Dancehall artiste Derrick Obuobie Jnr professionally known in the music industry as J Derobie has grabbed his first career award.

The Empawa Africa Music signee won the Best Male Raggae/Dancehall video award at the just ended 3RD TV Music Video Awards 2019.

The sensational singer blew into the music in 2018 with his ‘Poverty’ hit-song and he has since been doing well.

He was nominated in the same category with KK FOSU – LOVERS ROCK FT ADINA, RAS KUUKU – WO REMIX FT KOFI KINAATA, SAMINI – RAINBOW, SHATTA WALE – ISLAND and STONEBWOY – TUFF SEED.

Taking to social media to he extended gratitude to his big brother Mr Eazi , fans and family for supporting and believing in his music dream.

Sharing a photo of the plaque on his Instagram account, J. Derobie wrote:
