Celebrated and accomplished Ghanaian movie producer Samuel Darko, has bragged that he’s the certified owner of the name of our local movie industry “Kumawood”.
Speaking on Kingdom Plus 101.9FM, he told Fiifi Pratt that he his the sole owner of Kumawood. Therefore, he has full rights to it and nobody can take it from him.
He also revealed that he came up with the private company’s name through an award scheme he created some years back which then became a household name.
“I have registered Kumawood as a company and no one can take it from me “ he said in the course of the interview.
This follows with the recent discussion about the main cause of the collapse of the Ghanaian movie industry most especially the Kumasi based produced ones.
