I’m no more a Hiplife artiste because Ghana’s Hiplife is dead – Tinny

Ghanaian rapper Nii addo Quaynor popularly known in the music circles as Tinny has stated that Hiplife is dead.

Tinny who is known in Ghana and by his fans across the world as a Hiplife artiste refuted the tag on him as a Hiplife artiste because according to him the genre Hiplife is no longer existent.

He made this pronouncement during a radio discussion on Pure FM.

“Hiplife is dead. You barely see people come up and say they want to be Hiplife artistes and I think it has something to do with time because even Hip-Hop has changed in America and I think even when Azonto came it caused some distraction to Hiplife”, Tinnny said.

When he was quizzed as to how the dead genre can be revived in the music industry, the ‘Makola Kwakwe’ hitmaker fingered legendary music producer Hammer of the Last Two as the only person to turn to resurrect Hiplife.
