“I will have no option than to implement a partial lockdown” – Prez. Nana Addo warns Ghanaians

The President of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has issued a stern warning to Ghanaians concerning the adherence to the covid-19 protocol.

Addressing the nation – Ghana – for the 22nd time on Sunday, 17 January 2020, President Akufo-Addo fumed over the recent surge of Covid-19 cases across the country.

According to the president, 13 regions out of the entire 16 regions have been hit by the deadly coronavirus.

He admonished Ghanaians to adhere to the covid-19 protocols in order to bring the situation under control.

He said he will be left with no option than to impose a partial lockdown – if the need be – to curtail the spread of the deadly virus.

The President added that security personnel and regulatory agencies will work vigorously to ensure that citizens adhere to the protocol.
