Nigerian Musician, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy has revealed why he did not join protestors earlier than expected.

Burna Boy was heavily bashed on social media at the early stages of #EndSARS protests in Nigeria since many expected him to have led the front of celebs who came out to protest against the unit.

The backlash has reached a level where people are being discouraged from playing his songs in places like Abuja.

Burna reacting to the backlash on social media has revealed why he was unable to offer any help or voice out from London.

According to Burna, he had to deal with family issues first at the beginning of the protests as his mum had to undergo a serious surgery last week.

He explained that he is obviously not the type who puts everything on social media and does not expect people to understand him at all cost, however, he believes these folks coming at him should do their checks before slamming him.

Meanwhile the African Giant has mounted billboards all over Nigeria to aid in the campaign against Police Brutalities in Nigeria.

He has also set up a fund to support protestors with cash and data whenever the need arises.
