Ghanaian hip hop artiste and most celebrated rapper Michael Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie has stated in an interview that he still has great love for his ‘brother’ Shatta Wale despite the friction between them.

According to the ‘Artiste of the Decade’, he still misses his hilarious conversations with Shatta Wale and hopes they straighten their relationship.

“What I feel for Shatta Wale will never go away until we straighten that side because I still miss him till today.

My wife will tell you because when I talk to Wale, we don’t even talk about music, he says stuff that makes me laugh till the end of the conversation and those things I still miss but we need to straighten our relationship as people moving forward”, he stated.

Regarding his viral single titled ‘Advice’ which was directed to Shatta Wale, Sarkodie explained that the song wasn’t a diss song but a conversation he has had with Shatta on several occasions.

“With Shatta, I didn’t see that as a beef. I saw it to be conversations that we’ve had on the phone several times that I keep getting the opposite when he is on air. Nothing on ‘Advice’ that I haven’t discussed with him already.

I keep on telling him that people love him so the extra stuff, maybe it’s brand positioning but if you say certain things that go overboard, I can’t be smiling and act like it’s ok.

So that is when the ‘Advice’ bit came in, so it came purposely just because we have been talking about this back and forth but when we have the conversation, the next morning I will hear something else so we had to move from that”, he added.
