VGMA 2017 Artiste of the year, Joe Mettle has revealed there is a possibility he will record songs with Stonebwoy or Shatta Wale.
It is no rumour that Ghanaians haven’t broken the bridge between secular artistes and gospel artistes. Due to this Ghanaians find it strange whenever a Ghanaian gospel artiste features a brother or sister from any of the secular or ‘worldly’ genres.
According to renowned Gospel singer, Joe Mettle, nothing prevents him from featuring Ghana’s best dancehall artistes, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
However, he will only do so when he has a direction from the holy spirit to feature any of the aforementioned artistes.
He made this known in an interview on Peace fm where he was asked whether he will ever feature Stonebwoy or Shatta Wale, he replied;
“Even though our messages are a bit different and our paths are different, i don’t mind doing a song with Stonebwoy or Shatta Wale or any other non-gospel musician but on one condition.”
“That’s when i’m led by the Spirit, i would gladly do a song with them”
