World-celebrated Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid in the entertainment world; Has publicly declared that he’s not a fan of awards unlike his colleagues in the showbiz industry.
According to the music superstar, he doesn’t hold awards, honours and citations in high esteem because they are not a measure of his greatness and enviable talent.
He made this revelation whiles appearing as a guest in an interview with model, Naomi Campbell, who shared a snippet of the discussion she had with the music maestro on her Twitter page.
I am not a big fan of awards, I have been very vocal about it. It doesn’t define who you are, it doesn’t define your substance. It doesn’t define how amazing you are at the end of the day,
as long as my music is touching people the right way, and they are feeling something the right way, I’m very content. That’s my reward
