I can’t think of a competent Musician to succeed Obuor – Appietus

Ghanaian Sound Engineer, Appiah Danquah popularly known in Showbiz as Appietus has stated that he doesn’t know any competent musician who can succeed the President of the Musicians Union Of Ghana(MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour, a.k.a Obour.

According to Appeitus, he does not intend to run again after loosing out in the 2015 elections.

Speaking to Dr. Who, host of ‘Hot and Classic Showbiz Review” on Accra-based Hot 93.9FM on MUSIGA President successors, Appeitus stated:

“For now, if I tell you I can really tell you the competent musician who can succeed Obour then am lying…So far I don’t really know those who are vying for the position…so until I know all the aspirants and their manifestos, I can’t mention any name.”

Appietus also believes that though Obour could’ve done much more for the union, he has done better compared to his predecessors.

After serving for two terms, Obour’s reign as MUSIGA President is near it’s end as the union gears towards the polls come June, 2019.

So far, Bessa Simons the current Vice President of the Union as well as and the Chief Executive Officer Of Lynx Entertainment,Richie Mensah are the only people who have expressed their intentions to run for President and Vice President positions respectively.
