Burniton Music Signee, Barbara Naa Okailey Nyarko popularly known as OV has refuted claims that she has become successful because of her affiliation with Stonebwoy’s brand.
According to Ov, she participated in the competition without Stonebwoy and won.
In an interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso as monitored by Gossips24, the musician stated that she can stand without Stonebwoy.
She also stated that the “Ololo” hitmaker always gives them the platform to express themselves and also helps them nurture their talents.
“I am not hiding behind Stonebwoy. When I participated in MTN Hitmaker, I didn’t go with Stonebwoy. I went alone and won so I can stand without Stonebwoy.
Stonebwoy always doesn’t want us hiding in his shadow. He leads us and watches how you can handle yourself”, OV stated.
There were rumours that she was the next artiste to leave the burniton music group after Kelvyn Boy.
From the statements she made, it appears she is also on a shaky ground and can leave at any point in time.
The 20-year old musician also denied reports she is lesbian, indicating that she is normally tagged as such due to her mode of dressing.
OV accepted that she is a Tomboy but has never had any sexual or romantic relationship with a woman.
