Guinea’s Coup Leader Col Mamady Doumbouya Sworn In As President

Col Mamady Doumbouya who led a team of military men to overthrow Guinea’s President Alpha Conde has been sworn in as the president of the country.

The leader happens to be the second youngest president after mali’s own president Assimi Goïta, 38 who also used a coup to gain the role of the leader of Mali.

Tho he has been elected as the new president he is barred from contesting future elections under plans to restore civilian rule announced this week.

Speaking about his swearing-in he revealed that his government would do its best to restore the good name of the country as well as create a new constitution that would fight all forms of corruption .
