President of the Republic of Ghana His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo has called on the Black Stars to come home with the Trophy as they participate in the AFCON.
According to Akufo Addo, the black stars should do their possible best to win the cup so they can be able to quench the 40 years draught of losing the cup to other African nations.
“The target for you, naturally, is to bring the cup home. We have to go a step further than the second places recorded in 1992, 2010 and 2015, and bring the 40-year drought to an end,” the President said.
Ghana would be playing their first match today as they face off Morocco in their first match which would take place in Cameroon at 4 pm in the afternoon.
The Ghana black stars team are in Group C with other African teams like Morocco, Gabon and Comoros.
