Ghana’s COVID-19 death toll rises to 10

The Ghana Health Service has recorded two more Covid-19 deaths in the country, seeing a rise in the initial total from 8 deaths to 10.

The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Aboagye, disclosed this at a press conference in Accra on Tuesday.

Dr Aboagye said out of the 566 confirmed Covid-19 cases, “currently, we have only two critically ill people with 10 deaths.”

He also disclosed that 17 patients being treated for Covid-19, the respiratory disease caused by the coronavirus have recovered.

“Currently we have 83 people in that category. A significant number have tested the first negative but we have 17 who have recorded double negatives and are obviously clinically cured.”
