Ghanaians Descend Heavily On John Boye After “Senseless” Red Card Against Benin

John Boye was sent off for an early bath during Ghana’s 2-2 draw with Benin in the ongoing AFCON competition.

The defender has been garnering plenty of criticism with many calling him “senseless” across social media after two unnecessary bookable offences resulted in a red card and John Boye had to be sent off in the 54th minute.

John Boye was first booked in the 37th minute when he carelessly lost possession and had to foul his opponent to stop them from scoring. He was then later booked for an unnecessary time wasting offence in the 54th minute.

It seemed Ghana was cruising to an emphatic victory after goals from Captain Dede Ayew and Jordan Ayew saw Ghana complete a comeback in the first half after going down by a goal early in the game.

All eyes will now be on Ghana’s next fixture against Cameroon which happens to be the big game of the group to see how they bounce back after this setback.
