Ghanaian Nurse with two kids dies from coronavirus in the USA

Doreen Tay, a 43-year-old Ghanaian nurse who lived in the United States of America (USA) has died of the novel coronavirus within five weeks after contracting the disease.

A report sighted by Gossips24.com on Gofundme indicates that the hardworking lady left behind her husband whom she has been married to for 14 years and two children, Rachel and Derron, 13 and 11 years old, respectively.

Doreen becomes the third nurse from Ghana working abroad who has succumbed to the global pandemic that is currently plaguing the whole world.

Doreen was a Ghanaian-born Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who worked full-time at Montefiore Medical Center, and part-time at Throgs Neck Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.

Dorreen was born in Ghana and graduated from the Jersey College School of Nursing in 2017.

Doreen was a Christian woman of faith who sang gloriously in her Church Choir at McOlives Ministries for several years.

She fell ill on March 14, and visited the hospital to be admitted to Albert Einstein at Montefiore Medical Center. While there, she contracted coronavirus and within a relatively short period of time, passed away – on April 21, 2020. She was 43 years old.
