Veteran Kumawood actress, Akua Kumiwaa has shockingly revealed she was busted for narcotic related offence in the US few years ago although she knows next to nothing about the drug ended up in her bag that fateful day.
The soft-spoken actress, who became very popular through the Keysoap Concert Party and ‘Things We Do For Love’ TV series, broke her silence when she took her turn in Mcbrown’s kitchen hosted by actress Nana Ama McBrown.
According to her, she was arrested in the US around July 2012 when she was lured by some gentlemen under the guise of taking her there to shoot a movie.
She said she was given a bag to handle when they got to the airport in the US but after a scan, substances suspected to be cocaine was found in her bag.
According to her, the two gentlemen disappeared after she was arrested leaving her to her fate. After months of court appearances, the actress was asked to return back home to Ghana since nothing showed she knew anything about the drugs concealed in her bag.
