The annual Independence Day celebration is taking place for the first time at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, The capital town of the Ashanti Region.
But it seems Ghanaian Actress Yvonne Nelson believes Ghana celebrating its 63rd Independence is not worth it since we still depend on other countries for a lot of things.
The mother of one went on social media rant to rubbish the celebration. “Just so you know, we aren’t independent,” she wrote and twitter and later added that “we’ve never been independent”.
This isn’t the first time, Yvonne who has once disclosed that she wouldn’t mind taking a political job someday has trashed the independence day celebration in Ghana. Last year she said “As for ghana, we the people and leaders fail her daily! We sold our country ages ago” and thoughts haven’t changed.
