Freemasons in Ghana suspend all meetings over coronavirus

In a bid to comply with the President’s ban on all public and social gatherings, all associations and organisations are trying their best to help the government by suspending their activities until calm is restored.

The latest update we – Gossips24.com – have received is the suspension of all events by Ghana’s Grand Lodge also known as the Freemasons.

In a press release, the secret society said they have suspended their meetings for 4 weeks —from 14th March to 14th April just as the President directed.

The group advised its members to adhere to the outlined safety precautions in order to prevent/avoid infections.

The statement added that the decision was arrived at “having taken into consideration the situation, and having to regard the overriding interest of safeguarding the health and safety of all brethren and their families”

“Most worshipful brother  N/Capt Kwadjo  Adunkwa Butah, the grandmaster has directed that all masonic meetings under the grand lodge of Ghana to be suspended with immediate effect for a period of 1-month” a portion of the statement reads.
