Four notorious criminals arrested in Agona Swedru

Four notorious armed criminals who have been tormenting the lives of the people living in Agona Swedru were apprehended by the Ghana police service on Saturday following an intelligence gathering in the Central Region.

From what we have gathered, these suspected hardened criminals are Saddick Abubakar, Gordon Kunya, Isaac Addea, and Dauda Fatau.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Irene Serwaah Oppong, Regional Public Relations Officer, affirmed news of the four abovementioned criminals arrest to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Cape Coast.

According to DSP Irene Serwaah Oppong, on Saturday, October 17, at around 22:15 some well-built men whose movement triggered criminal suspicions were lodged at Hotel at Swedru.

The Police team proceeded to the hotel and met the suspects relaxing in room eight. The nine policeman squad launched an aggressive search in the room and retrieved a knife and a Cutlass

She also added that the team also searched room nine occupied by Gordon Kunya and Saddick Abubakar and found a lighter and two packets of Razzle, as well as two bank opened-Cheque in the sum of GHC 5000.00 each, were also found on Dauda and Gordon.

At the moment, the suspects have been detained and the exhibits also retained for investigation and further action, DSP Oppong further indicated.
