French footballer and Borrusia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram was sent off to the dressing after spitting in the face of an opponent.
His actions where triggered after he found himself an argument with Hoffeinham’s player Posche during the 77 minitues of the heated game.
The game however ended with Borrusia Monchengladbach suffering a 1-0 defeat by their Bondusliga rivals Hoffeinham.
The 23-year-old forward, Marcus Thuram received a red card for his actions and has faced a fine from the German Football Federation. Marcus Thuram who is the son of legendary French footballer and Juventus talisman, Lillian was charged with a five-match suspension and a £37,000 (€40,000) fine.
Marcus Thuram however, took to his official Instagram page to express his regret after the match. He wrote a lengthy message of apology and stated that he was ready to uphold all the necessary sanctions meted out to him by the German Football Federation.
