At around 1:30 am, there was a fire outbreak near Mile 2 at the Alaba Express axis of the Oshodi Apapa expressway.
Residents who were afraid for their lives and properties ran to social media to post about it and to call for help.
The fire that burnt some fuel tankers and trucks was later put out at around 2:30 am by the fire service who were earlier accused of delaying when they were called.
Properties have been reported lost to the fire whereas no life loss has been recorded.
