FINALLY! Woman in Akufo-Addo’s alleged $40,000 bribe video speaks (Video)

Hajia Fawzia Karim, the woman at the centre of the video that captures Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo receiving an amount of money concealed in a brown envelope has finally broken her silence.

Speaking in an interview on Asaase Radio Facebook page, Hajia Fawz stated she visited President Akufo-Addo at his residence in Nima in 2016 [ Akufo-Addo was then the flagbearer of the NPP and not the President] to support the party’s campaign for the 2016 general elections.

According to Hajia Fawz, she donated Gh¢40,000 and 1,000 T-shirts to support the NPP campaign in the 2016 general elections.

“It was before the 2016 elections. I had about 1000 t-shirts which had the pictures of the then-presidential candidate and his vice and added an amount of GH¢40,000 to support Nana. I went there as a party supporter,” she said while expressing shock at the turn out of events.

“I had wanted to meet him [Akufo-Addo] so someone introduced me to Auntie Ama Busia but she was not feeling well so I met the guy who comes from the same gate in the north by myself…he in turn introduced me to former Ghana Ambassador to Japan, Bawuah who led us to his office…,” she said.
