Fella Makafui born Fella Precious Dela Makafui is a Ghanaian award-winning actress who hit the limelight for her role in a local TV series dubbed Y.O.L.O.

In the youth themed TV series, Fella Makafui played the role of a street hawker named Serwaa whose village roots influenced her speech as she sold her bread to motorists and other possible clients.

Early Life and Education

Fella Makafui was born in Anfoega Akukome, a small village in the Volta Region on the 12th of August, 1995.

The actress had both her primary and JHS education in her village before attending Kpando SHS to have her secondary school education.

She studied general arts as a course at Kpando SHS and was afterwards chosen as the Entertainment prefect. She later enrolled in the University of Ghana but left to pursue her acting career, according to local sources.

Acting Career

Fella Makafui began her career as a supporting actor in the hit TV series YOLO before becoming well-known in Ghana. After gaining prominence in the movie industry, she has been cast in a lot of blockbuster movies such as (Kada River, Sugar, P Over D and several others).

She has also featured in dome Nigerian movies including once upon a family, in which she got to work with the seasoned Nigerian actress Mercy Johnson who played the lead role.

Before she became a full-time actress, Fella worked as a model and a nudist. She eventually moved into full-time acting, which helped her establish a name and a substantial fortune.

Fella Makfui has starred in over 100 movies as of now and she hopes to do more before she officially retires from acting.

Awards and Nominations

Fella Makafui won her first award as Ghana’s most promising actress at the City People Entertainment Awards in 2016.

She won her second award as the most promising actress at the Golden Movie Awards the following year.

In 2018, the law students union of Kings University College honoured her for her charity work and as a wonderful actor during their awards and dinner night.

Philanthropic works

Fella Makafui is a known philanthropist who has donated to several hospitals and orphanages. In 2018, she donated some food items and toiletries to the Accra Psychiatric hospital.

During last year’s lockdown, Fella and her husband, Medikal stormed the streets of Accra to share packages of toiletries, sanitisers among others to people.

The generosity of the Ghanaian rapper and his wife also saw them donating some of the items to the Ghana police service branch in Accra.

She once also gave Yikurugu School 20 desks and 400 practice books, as well as other stationery.

Ambassadorial deals

In 2018, the actress and television personality was named brand ambassador of Castle Gate Ghana limited.

 Fella Makafui also once signed a GHC500,000 Ambassadorial Deal with Crystal Galaxy College For 2 Years.

In July 2020, she was once again signed as a brand ambassador for pinamang cosmetics.

Husband and Kids

 On March 7, 2020, Fella Makafui and Medikal tied the knot in a private marriage ceremony. They recently celebrated their first marriage anniversary.

The power couple now have one child named Island Frimpong.

Networth, Houses and cars

Fella Makafui is believed to be worth around $500,000. Fella Makafui received a brand new customized FELLA 20-20 Benz C300 courtesy of her hubby, Medikal just days after their long-awaited traditional wedding.

Fella Makafui purchased a fresh new Audi A8, which was also delivered to her by Medikal, when her ex-boyfriend furiously confiscated her two cars.

It is also assumed that she owns one state of the art mansion in Accra.
