Fear of Lockdown arises in Ghana as Nana Addo announces update number 23

Ghanaians have been stricken by the fear of living under lockdown after the president of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, announced that he will be addressing the state tonight.

Earlier, the president of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo during his 22nd address to the nation cautioned Ghanaians that there is a possibility of another lockdown should the cases of coronavirus in the country rise.

As at the time of this report, Ghana’s active cases had increased to 4,665. Almost all the sixteen regions in the country have recorded cases of covid-19.

It’s been reported by the Ghana Health Service that an average of 200 cases are recorded daily since the beginning of 2021. On January 30, 2021 a total of 797 cases were recorded.

Looking at the current spike, Ghanaians have been gripped by fear of the president announcing a partial lockdown to curtail the spread of the virus.

H.E Nana Akufo-Addo will be addressing Ghanaians for the 23rd time since the first two cases were recorded in Ghana.

As to whether there will be a lockdown or not? Only the president can tell in his next address on Sunday, 31st January, 2021.
