Ghana Exim Bank denies paying GH₵ 2 million to Shatta Wale as a brand ambassador

The Ghanaian export and import bank, Ghana EXIM bank has denied paying two million Ghana cedis to the African Dancehall King; Shatta Wale as a brand ambassador.

It was formerly allegedly reported that, Shatta Wale was paid two million cedis in 2017 according to Ras Mubarak who further indicated that there were records of payments made to Shatta.

Well, the Deputy CEO of Ghana EXIM Bank, Kwame Adu Darkwa has dismissed claims which purported that Shatta Wale and Agya Koo were directly paid the above-mentioned sum of money from the accounts of Ghana Exim Bank during an interview with Joy news.

I mentioned ¢2 million that went to Shatta Wale but the Deputy CEO says they wouldn’t know who the vendor selected and this is not to say that we have a problem with Shatta Wale getting some amount of money to do whatever work.

But the Ghanaian public deserves to know how much went out and who got it because their answers were not satisfying.” Ras Mubarak later told Joy News in an interview.
