Estonia’s Minister of Interior Resigns After Callling Joe Biden and Son ”Corrupt”
The Minister of Interior for Estonia, Mart Helme, has resigned after making some comments considered to be threatening about Joe Biden’s victory as American President.
In his comments, he referred to Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden as ”corrupt characters”.
“There is no question that these (US) elections were falsified”. If this (US election result) goes through, then the constitution will no longer apply in America,” he said.
The son of the Minister, Martin Helme also said that the US election was rigged to favour Biden making the whole thing look like a father and son against another father and son.
The President of Estonia, Kersti Kaljulaid has said that she is sad and embarrassed about the comments of the minister adding that the comments were a verbal assault and an attack on the country’s democracy and security.
However, in a press conference while disclosing that he has resigned, Minister Helme did not see anything wrong with his comments.
“Last night I decided to resign (when) looking at the slander and lies produced by the Estonian media.”
“I am tired. I did nothing yesterday that would endanger Estonia’s security. I have not said anything that has not already been told by the American media, the American free media.”
“You cannot muzzle me, nobody can muzzle me. The prime minister cannot muzzle me, the president or journalists cannot muzzle me.”
“I say what I consider to be right, what concerns me.” He said.
