Former Arsenal and Real Madrid striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been reportedly linked to Premier League side Aston Villa so as to cover their injury nightmare.
Aston Villa are currently battling with the absence of striker Wesley who has been ruled out for the season after picking ankle injury.
Goalkeeper Tom Heaton has also been ruled out for the rest of the season as Aston Villa manager Dean Smith is now under serious pressure.
Smith only has Jonathan Kodjia available up front, and with Wesley’s injury meaning he may have to bring in two new forwards before the January transfer window closes.
Adebayor’s representatives are aware of Aston Villa’s current situation and they are ready to allow the Togolese footballer to make a return to the Premier League.
After leaving Turkish side Kayserispor last month, Emmanuel Adebayor is currently a free agent which means that Aston Villa will not pay any club for his transfer fee.
