ELECTIONS 2020: Okoe Boye speaks after losing Ledzokuku parliamentary seat

NPP’s Dr Okoe Boye has finally broken his silence after losing the Ledzokuku parliamentary seat.

He lost to NDC’s Benjamin Ayiku Narteh by a margin of 1,866 votes.

After nearly 18 hours of counting and verification at the Teshie Police Station, Mr Narteh garnered 55,938 votes as compared to 54,072 votes by Dr Okoe Boye of the NPP.

Reacting to his defeat on Facebook, he congratulated his opponent and said in all things gratitude is a must.

He wrote;

I am grateful to my constituents for the opportunity to serve them in the past four years. Congratulations to Ben Ayiku, the Ledzokuku MP elect. In all things we give him thanks. Let’s build this country together with or without political office for it is our efforts now that will create the Ghana we desire for our children and children’s children.
