Popular actor Ecow Smith-Asante is mourning the loss of his mother Madam Evelyn Smith-Asante. She died at the age of 75 on the eve of mother’s day.
The actor shared a post on his Instagram page three weeks ago to announce her passing, stating that she decided to go to the Lord just 24 hours to the day she would be celebrated as a mother.
“24hrs to celebrating u (you) this day, u (you) decided to go to the Lord. Mum Hmmmnn, u (you) will be missed. God keep u (you) till we meet again” he said.
Madam Evelyn’s funeral celebration has been scheduled for the 29th of June this year with the filing past, burial service and final funeral rites happening at the Holy Ghost Temple ICGC in Frafraha and the thanksgiving service on 30th June 2019.
The late Madam Evelyn left behind a husband, four children and nine grandchildren.
Ecow is a multiple award-winning actor who has featured in a number of Ghanaian and Nigerian movies over the years
He is best known for his roles in movies such as ‘Desperate Measures’, ‘Passion of The Soul’, ‘This Is Us’, ‘Wicked Intention’, ‘Brave Soul’, ‘Mummy’s Daughter’, ‘Church On Fire’, ‘Devil In The Detail’ and ‘Pieces of Me’.
