Some Ghanaians who were affected by the power cut yesterday the 26th of November have asked for answers as to why they power supply was withheld for about 24 hours.
Yesterday, some parts of Ghana had no electricity until it early hours of the morning on Wednesday 27thNovember, 2019 when power was restored.
Due to the unfortunate situation, the Electricity Company of Ghana has issued a statement explaining why some parts of Ghana had a power outage.
In the statement, they disclosed that the power failure was due to a technical challenge upstream.

OUTAGE DUE TO TECHNICAL CHALLENGE UPSTREAM TUESDAY, 26TH NOVEMBER, 2019
The Electricity Company of
Ghana Limited, wishes to inform its customers who are experiencing power outage
this evening, 26th November, 2019, that the outage is due to a technical
challenge upstream. Customers should please note that the situation is beyond
ECG’s control, however, immediately the challenge is resolved, power supply
will be restored to all affected areas.
The
inconvenience is very much regretted.
