A driver who is also a big-time armed robber Issah Iddrisu, has been sentenced to 30 years imprisonment on by the Accra Circuit Court for robbing a woman of her car keys and two mobile phones at gunpoint at Gbawe in Accra.
During the operation, the notorious armed robber-cum-driver also stabbed his victim’s husband in the chest, Theophilus P Tetteh.
Idirisu was held on the charge of conspiracy, attempt to rob, robbery, causing unlawful harm and possession of arms and ammunition without lawful authority.
Handing the down the sentence on Iddrisu, the court said it stressed and hammered on the following counts which are;
The illegal handling of a pistol and a knife, the degree of injuries, an increase in robbery cases.
Issah has had already spent three years two months in remand before his punishment to serve a 30-year jail term was loaded on his head.
