Vice President of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has collaborated with the management of COCOBOD to unveil the cocoa management system that will offer a database for farmers of cocoa to outlaw favoritism in dispatching of farm amenities to farmers.
This policy according to Dr.Bawumia will aid in developing pension schemes for the farmers.
The system will issue cards to farmers to make their transactions tangible and fair.
The Vice president of Ghana made a statement that the NPP government is fully in support of creating a sound and inclusive economy.
The CEO of COCOBOD, Joseph Boahen Aidoo pointed out that a biometric system will come along with the new system to draft relevant information of farmers and their farms.
This new policy has been acknowledged and upheld by The National President of Ghana Cocoa, Coffee and Shea-Nut Farmers Association, Alhaji Alhassan Bukari.
