NPP’s Delta Force Issues Statement On Canadian Girls’ Saga

Yesterday, some section of Ghanaians heave a sigh of relief after the Ghana police and some security agencies went to the rescue of the two kidnapped Canadian citizens in Kumasi who were kidnapped a week ago.

After the rescue and the subsequent arrest of kidnappers, it emerged that one of the kidnappers identified as Seidu Yakubu Mba was a member of Pro-New Patriotic Party (NPP), vigilante group, Delta Force and also a strong supporter of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

But a statement issued by the leadership of Delta Force signed by Mohammed Seidu stated the vigilante group does not know Seidu to be a member of them and as such people should stop linking Seidu to them.

A part of their statement reads: “The Delta Force Group in the Ashanti Region would like to state unequivocally that the said culprit (Seidu), has never been a member of our group and he’s not part of us. Consequently, the group, thus, distances itself from the conduct and operations of this man called Seidu”

Read their full statement below:

“It has come to the knowledge of the Delta Force Group that one body builder in Kumasi, known in the airwaves as Seidu has been arrested by the Ashanti Regional police command in connection with the two Canadian girls kidnapped case, and he is being purported to be a member of our group.

The Delta Force Group in the Ashanti Region would like to state unequivocally that the said culprit (Seidu), has never been a member of our group and he’s not part of us.

Consequently, the group, thus, distances itself from the conduct and operations of this man called Seidu.

The leadership of the Delta Force group in Ashanti Region would like to assure the general public that we are a law abiding group and we would not engage ourselves in such kidnapping operation.

Long live Ghana.
Long Live Delta Force

Signed:

MOHAMMED SEIDU
