The lawmaker for the people of Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, has subtly registered his displeasure about all the 16 regional chairmen of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for openly supporting candidates in the just ended National Delegate election for New National executive.

According to him, Justin Frimpong Kodua’s Victoria must be a shame to all the chairs.

“The signal was clear no senior member of the party should come openly and raise hands to support any candidate. All the 16 regional chairmen should be ashamed of themselves because they couldn’t decide for the party. Rather Wontumi must cool down he doesn’t owe this party. See how he was behaving reaping all chairmen to raise their hands reluctantly. They are all embarrassed. ” He said.

The unconventional legislator made the assertion when Justin Frimpong Kodua emerged winner as General Secretary despite all 16 Regional chairmen openly supporting his major Contender, John Boadu.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Kennedy said for the sake of unity with in the party all senior members (executives) shouldn’t have openly campaign a candidate. But the delegate must vote based on individual conviction not by influence by senior party members.

“If the people think you can do the work the will vote for you” he said.

The daylong conference was held among others things, to select new national party executives to manage the affairs of the party in the next 4 years.

0ver 6000 delegate were drawn from the length and breadth the country to Accra sports stadium yesterday to elect ; National Chairman, General Secretary, National Organizer, NASARA Coordinator among others.
