One of the suspects who allegedly played a role in the lynching of a 90-year-old woman at Kafaba has been remanded by the Bole Magistrate Court.

In her first appearance presided over by Prince Cudjo, the suspected was asked to reappear on August 20, 2020.

Latifah Bumaye arrested on July 31, 2020, at her hideout at about 09:30 pm on Thursday after someone tipped the police off.

During an interrogative session with the Salaga Divisional Police Headquarters said she was possessed and did not know she was torturing her grandmother.

Latifah, aged 25, said prior to the incident, some men had caught her forcefully and smeared a powdery substance on her face.

According to her, when she saw the video of her whipping the deceased, she asked those around where she got the different apparel from when she was previously in cloth.
