Coronavirus patient at Tema General Hospital escapes

A man who was diagnosed with the novel coronavirus has reportedly escaped from the Tema General Hospital.

The man who is reportedly among the seven confirmed cases recorded so far in Ghana has refused to be quarantined instead, he opted for a self-quarantine since the hospital isn’t well equipped to handle coronavirus cases.

This was earlier reported in a viral screenshot sighted by Gossips24.com on social media and a follow-up report coming from GhSplash which reads, “The victim is reported to have had contacts with about 107 people of whom only 5 had reported back to the Tema General Hospital to be tested. The others cannot be traced”. Lord Jesus have mercy! “

What is alarming about the incident is the fact that the same incident happened in Italy after 10,000 coronavirus patients escaped quarantine to see their families, that’s when they started recording more cases and death─and same is likely to happen in Ghana if this becomes a thing.
