COVID-19: China deploys frontline doctors to Ghana

China has reportedly deployed a medical team, including frontline doctors to Ghana following the recent rise of COVID-19 cases in the country.

Ghana’s new active cases have reached 1,924 as of Sunday, January 17, 2021, with an average of 200 infections daily.

According to a report on dailymailgh.com, the medical team from China, the origin of the deadly contagion, includes 11 doctors in “various specialities.

In other news, Ghana’s National Security Coordinator, Joshua Kyeremeh, died from the contagion after a short illness at the Ga East Municipal Hospital in the early hours of Monday, 18 January 2021.
